Lasith Malinga has offered to step down as Sri Lanka’s T20 captain, after concerns over the slow recovery of a knee injury have grown. The board is yet to make a final call on whether a change of leadership is needed, but Malinga has handed the board a letter voicing reservations about keeping the job when he cannot guarantee his availability for Sri Lanka’s full campaign.An MRI scan on Monday confirmed substantial damage to Malinga’s knee, but also suggested that he could manage the injury with painkillers over the next few weeks. The team is scheduled to leave for India on Tuesday, but Malinga is considering staying in Sri Lanka to receive further treatment. He may not depart to India until the days before Sri Lanka’s first match, on March 17.This overuse injury to the left knee – on which he lands during the delivery stride – has troubled him since West Indies’ series in Sri Lanka in November last year. He missed Sri Lanka’s tour of New Zealand in December and January, and was later ruled out of the T20s in India, in February. Then, Malinga played only one match of four during the Asia Cup, taking four wickets in Sri Lanka’s solitary victory against UAE, before sitting out games against Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. It is understood he has not bowled in the nets since the UAE game, though, he is not a player who generally requires extensive net bowling before matches.The recovery date for this injury has always been vague, but has been much slower than initially expected, prompting particular worry. It was hoped Malinga could be fit for the T20s in New Zealand, and he was picked for the Asia Cup on the understanding he could play a substantial role in that tournament.This is also the third serious injury to hit Malinga’s career. He had previously been plagued by a similar overuse injury in his right knee, which he said forced him to retire from Tests in 2010. Then in 2014, a long-term ankle injury was operated on in the months leading up to last year’s World Cup. It now appears possible that this current injury could end his international career. In the approach to the Asia Cup, Malinga had hinted the World T20 might be his final foray for Sri Lanka.Angelo Mathews appears the likeliest captaincy candidate if Malinga does step down, though Dinesh Chandimal is also an option. Malinga’s potential absence as a bowler is perhaps the bigger blow to Sri Lanka’s campaign. He has been instrumental to Sri Lanka’s march to three World T20 finals over the last four tournaments, and is also the World T20’s most successful bowler. He has been a diminished threat since his ankle surgery in 2014, but remains – at least in spirit – Sri Lanka’s limited-overs spearhead.

وقال أنجي بوستيكوجلو في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ديلي ميل” الإنجليزية: “لا تحصل على الكثير من الوقت للاستمتاع بهذه اللحظة، لقد حدث شيء ما بعد ليلة يوم الإثنين، كنا نعلم أن إصابة ميكي في أوتار الركبة خطيرة إلى حد ما، نحن نتحدث عن غيابه لمدة شهرين، حتى بداية العام الجديد”.

وأضاف: “حالة ماديسون أسوأ بكثير مما كنا نعتقده في البداية، كان سيئًا في اليوم التالي، سيغيب حتى العام الجديد، مثل ميكي”.

كذلك خضع ريتشارليسون لعملية جراحية في الفخذ، بسبب مشكلة مزمنة، وأكد أنجي بوستيكوجلو أن البرازيلي سيغيب لمدة شهر عن الملاعب.

واختتم: “أجرى ريتشارليسون العملية الجراحية التي خططنا لها على أي حال، لقد كان يعاني من ذلك منذ اليوم الأول وفترة التوقف الدولي تقترب، يجب أن يبقى لمدة شهر إذا سارت الأمور على ما يرام”.

كما أكد وزير الشباب والرياضة، أن الوزارة تقف على مسافة واحدة من جميع الاتحادات وتتابع خطوة بخطوة مع الاتحاد المصري لكرة السلة فيما يخص الاستعدادات للأولمبياد، الظهور بمستوى وبصورة تليق بمكانة مصر.

وأشار وزير الرياضة إلى أن الطفرة الإنشائية والإنجازات التي تشهدها البلاد في عهد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، والذي يقدم كل الدعم للرياضة المصرية انعكس على تحقيق العديد من الإنجازات خلال الآونة الراهنة، وجعل مصر قبلة لكافة الاتحادات الدولية لتنظيم البطولات.

وتبقى حظوظ منتخب مصر لكرة السلة للرجال في التأهل إلى دورة الألعاب الأوليمبية قائمة بالمشاركة في منافسات الملحق العالمي والمقرر إقامته في يوليو 2024، دون تحديد البلاد المستضيفة لهذه التصفيات حتى الآن، يحدده الاتحاد الدولي لكرة السلة “فيبا”، وذلك يتم تأهل 4 مقاعد.

وكما حسم منتخب مصر رجال وسيدات 3X3 تأهلهما إلى تصفيات أولمبياد باريس 2024، بعد تصدر الترتيب الأفريقي.

No treinamento da última quarta-feira, Cuca colocou Hudson no lugar de Daniel Alves, deixando Liziero e Tchê Tchê mais soltos pelo meio, enquanto Igor Vinícius foi escalado no lugar de Antony, que permitia variações táticas entre o 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 e até mesmo o 4-4-2, com Liziero e Igor Vinícius abertos, Tchê Tchê e Hudson pelo meio, e Everton com Raniel no ataque.

Para atuar como “9”, Raniel está de volta, mas ainda estão fora Pablo, Pato e Toró, que também poderiam fazer essa função. Já para o lugar de Antony a substituição também preocupa, já que Helinho não tem conseguido se firmar, assim como Calazans. É um jogador, no momento, insubstituível, por isso a tentativa de colocar Igor Vinícius, que é rápido e tem habilidade, para uma aproximação das características do jovem da base tricolor.

كشفت تقارير صحفية إسبانية، موعد الإعلان الرسمي لتجديد عقد لاعب فريق كرة القدم الأول بنادي برشلونة، أليخاندرو بالدي.

اللاعب الإسباني صاحب الـ19 عامًا، توصل لاتفاق مع برشلونة بشأن تجديد عقده، وذلك بعدما أصبح أساسيًا في مركز الظهير الأيسر، منذ رحيل جوردي ألبا.

صحيفة “موندو ديبورتيفو” الإسبانية، أكدت أن يوم الخميس المقبل، سيكون موعد الإعلان الرسمي عن تجديد أليخاندرو بالدي لعقده، ليستمر مع الفريق حتى 30 يونيو 2028.

اللاعب الإسباني لديه عقد حالي مع برشلونة من المفترض أن ينتهي في صيف 2024، أي بعد نهاية الموسم الجاري، بعدما تم اعتماده لاعبًا محترفًا منذ 18 يوليو الماضي.

وسيقوم اللاعب بجلسة تصوير الأربعاء، تمهيدًا للإعلان الرسمي من النادي عن تجديد عقده، مع وجود شرط جزائي بقيمة مليار يورو.

اللاعب وقع على العقد الجديد خلال جولة الولايات المتحدة قبل بداية الموسم، ولكن لم يتم الإعلان الرسمي حتى الآن، لاستيفاء بعض الشروط الخاصة.

– Faço bastante esse tipo de treinamento de finalização de fora da área, principalmente depois dos treinos.
