Australia’s fast-bowling stocks for the Ashes have thinned still further after it was revealed Josh Hazlewood is suffering from shin soreness and will be out of action for up to a month while he recovers. Hazlewood had been set aside by Cricket Australia as one of eight fast bowlers to be prepared for the Ashes, and was believed to be in line for consideration around the time of the second match of the series in Adelaide.However Hazlewood’s likely absence for a month will rule him out of action until mid-December, forcing CA’s team performance manager Pat Howard and the selectors to look elsewhere for their eighth fast man. Others in the group are believed to include Ryan Harris, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Johnson, Ben Cutting, Ben Hilfenhaus, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Clint McKay. Chadd Sayers and the discarded Doug Bollinger are two pacemen who will now be under closer consideration.”New South Wales Blues paceman Josh Hazlewood will miss grade cricket tomorrow due to shin soreness,” a Cricket New South Wales spokesman said. “The management plan for Josh was for him to miss the second round of Sheffield Shield cricket, play grade cricket tomorrow [Saturday] before returning for round three of the Shield. Josh had some shin soreness during the first Sheffield Shield game that has not resolved, as such he will not play in the grade cricket match on the weekend and is likely to miss the next few weeks until he has fully recovered.”Hazlewood had been the subject of controversy earlier this week when he was removed from the New South Wales Sheffield Shield side for their match against Victoria as part of a pre-arranged CA management plan. This raised the objection of the state bowling coach Geoff Lawson, who thought Hazlewood needed to bowl after a poor display against Tasmania in the opening round.A compromise was therefore reached in which Hazlewood turned out for his Sydney grade side over the weekend before returning to the Blues’ Shield team for their match against Queensland in Brisbane a week before the first Test. However he has now joined James Pattinson, Mitchell Starc and Jackson Bird among the list of quick bowlers unavailable as the Ashes series looms.

– A importância do Botafogo para mim é imensa. É um clube pelo qual tenho um carinho enorme, onde passei uma fase muito boa da minha vida, onde fui campeão e pude fazer grandes amigos. Hoje, defendendo o Juventude em uma nova função, vou fazer o melhor para que possamos sair com a vitória – disse Fahel, que também jogou e encerrou a carreira pelo Juventude (de 2016 a 2017).

Aos 37 anos, Fahel também destacou a crença no trabalho de reconstrução que tem ajudado a desenvolver no clube gaúcho, que busca se recuperar da recente queda à Série C e voltar à elite do futebol brasileiro. A experiência faz parte dos planos de Fahel em se tornar treinador.

– Nós acreditamos muito no trabalho que estamos fazendo. É um clube que está se reerguendo, procurando voltar para o cenário nacional e, quem sabe, estar jogando a Série A, entre os maiores no futebol brasileiro. Futuramente quero assumir como treinador, trazendo as coisas boas que aprendi. Estou muito feliz nessa nova fase – completou.

L!: Como vai ser esse reencontro com o Botafogo, ainda mais em um jogo marcante (pela recordação da final de 1999)?

Esse reencontro vai trazer na memória momentos marcantes para mim. Um encontro entre Juventude e Botafogo sempre vai trazer na memória o jogo de 1999. É uma final que foi marcante para os dois clubes. O Juventude dá uma grande importância a essa partida. É um clube que está se reerguendo, procurando voltar para o cenário nacional e, quem sabe, em um futuro próximo, estar jogando a Série A, entre os maiores no futebol brasileiro. O clube vem trabalhando para voltar à elite do futebol brasileiro. Sabemos que vai ser um jogo difícil porque a equipe do Botafogo tem uma qualidade muito grande, é uma equipe forte, ainda mais agora com a contratação do Diego Souza e Cícero. Mas nós também temos confiança no nosso trabalho e vamos tentar fazer o nosso melhor nestas duas partidas para sair com a classificação.

– Por que acredita que o Juventude pode surpreender, a começar pela partida no Rio, e passar de fase?

Nós acreditamos muito no trabalho que estamos fazendo. Sabemos que teremos dificuldade nas duas partidas diante de uma equipe que vem se reforçando, bem estruturada. Temos que jogar com inteligência, com a intenção de fazer bons jogos e o objetivo na classificação. É um campeonato diferente, que dá condições a todas as equipes de sonharem com um voo mais alto e é isso que vamos fazer, cientes das dificuldades mas acreditando no nosso trabalho.

– Como está a experiência como auxiliar-técnico? Sempre foi um desejo seu? Pretende ser técnico em um futuro breve?

Estou muito feliz nesta nova fase da minha vida. Já estava me preparando há cerca de quatro anos, fazendo alguns cursos. Nunca me vi longe dos gramados e do ambiente do futebol. É algo que gosto muito e com o qual sonhava. Meu objetivo é ser treinador no futuro. Tenho que passar por este momento e estou procurando aprender com todos os treinadores. O Marquinhos Santos é um cara formidável, uma pessoa sensacional. Procuro aprender também com os atletas, comissão técnica. Já trabalhei com três treinadores: Julinho Camargo, Luiz Carlos Winck e Marquinhos Santos. Com eles posso aprender e acrescentar lições que tenho na memória de tantos treinadores que passaram por mim. Tive o prazer de trabalhar com nomes como Joel Santana, Ney Franco e vários outros. De cada um deles pude aprender bastante e, futuramente, quero assumir como treinador, trazendo as coisas boas que aprendi. Estou muito feliz nessa nova fase. Sei que tenho um caminho longo pela frente para que eu possa fazer bons trabalhos, se Deus permitir.

Kyle Jarvis, the Zimbabwe fast bowler who recently retired from international cricket, has joined Lancashire on a three-year-deal as a non-overseas player, subject to registration.”I am delighted to be joining Lancashire on a three-year contract, as playing county cricket has been an ambition of mine for a number of years and the opportunity to forge a career in England was one that was too good to miss,” Jarvis said.Jarvis, 24, made his international debut in 2009 and went on to play 24 ODIs, taking 27 wickets at an average of 45.22. He also played in eight Tests since his debut against Bangladesh in 2011, with 30 wickets at 31.73, but has said he now hopes to qualify to play for England.”I have loved my time playing for Zimbabwe, and I am extremely grateful for the part they have played in my development, but I feel the time is right to take on a new challenge and a new career,” he said. “Reaching this decision has been an incredibly difficult process but I intend to make a home for myself in Manchester and hope my stay at Lancashire far outlasts this initial contract. My future is with Lancashire and in the county game with an end goal of potentially becoming English qualified in the future.”This club is one with great heritage and history and I hope to be able to contribute significantly to its future with the ball in hand and I am excited about helping the club’s quest for silverware in coming seasons.”Jarvis, whose first-class bowling average is 23.58, has also notched 30 wickets in 34 Twenty20 matches and Mike Watkinson, Lancashire’s director of cricket, said that the addition would bolster the team’s bowling. A late assault from Elton Chigumbura and Nazmul Hossain Milon helped Sylhet Royals to a thrilling four-wicket win over Duronto Rajshahi. Even though both sides were in command in different stages of the game, victory was finally clinched by the Royals thanks to a brilliant all-round show from Chigumbura.Duronto had the game all but wrapped up when they reduced the Royals to 80 for 6 in the 14th over in pursuit of 148 runs. But the match changed its course when Chigumbura cracked Abul Hasan for a six and a four in the following over. After an eight-run over off left-arm spinner Monir Hossain, the pair launched into Sean Ervine, who gave away two sixes in his 18-run over. It helped the Royals cut down the asking run-rate drastically from over 11 per over to 27 off 18 balls. Chigumbura added another six and two more boundaries, before Milon finished the game with a boundary off the first ball of the last over. The pair added 70 runs in just 34 deliveries, though Milon did survive after being caught off a no-ball in the 19th over. Chigumbura, having a lot of experience in Bangladeshi conditions, was unbeaten on 43 off just 21 while Milon, a big-hitting sensation locally, made 33 off 22.Before the final assault, it was the young Duronto spinners who kept things tight with their accuracy and flight. Naeem Islam jnr, Taijul Islam, Monir Hossain and Farhad Hossain shared all six wickets among them. Tamim Iqbal’s plan was to use his experienced seamers for the latter overs, but it backfired along with his decision of not making Farhad complete his quota of four overs after he had conceded just five runs. The faster bowlers – Abul, Ervine and Ziaur Rahman – gave away 74 runs off 5.1 overs, and it hurt Duronto badly.The Royals however would be somewhat disappointed after giving away such a good start with the ball, and having to fight so hard to win the game.Jahurul Islam pulled the Duronto innings out of an early scare, as he batted confidently. Offspinner Sohag Gazi had captain Tamim Iqbal caught and bowled off the first ball of the match, and soon, Duronto’s experiment of using Mukhtar Ali as an opener also backfired when he was caught behind off the same bowler, in the third over.From 9 for 2, Jahurul added 63 for the third wicket with Moeen Ali, who batted scratchily for 35 deliveries to make just 24. Jahurul however struck five fours and a six in his 38-ball 50, and ensured his team reached a decent score before getting out in the 19th over. Ziaur also hit a six and three boundaries in his 19-ball 21 before Ervine and Farhad scampered to put up a respectable total.The Royals bowlers were initially led by Gazi’s two wickets but Chigumbura’s three wickets and offspinner Mohammad Nabi’s four tight overs ensured control. Dirk Nannes, who flew in the day before, looked tame and as a result, went wicketless despite being the most experienced in the attack.Before their next matches in Khulna, Duronto would eagerly want their foreign signings to arrive as they have had to function with just 12 players.

So it was fitting on his return that they continued that impressive form on a rain-hit opening day against Lancashire.As captain, leading batsman and outstanding slip fielder, Somerset have struggled to replace Trescothick while he has been sidelined for the last three months with ankle ligament damage, yet they have remained consistent enough to be well placed behind the leaders, Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire.During a day with enough rain around to dampen even the most enthusiastic of county cricketers, it became apparent why they have been so consistent, expertly exploiting bowler-friendly conditions to make major inroads into Lancashire’s batting line-up in the 52.2 overs possible.Perhaps inspired by Trescothick’s first Championship outing since April, his comeback was overshadowed by an outstanding display from Peter Trego, their combative allrounder, who took his wicket tally to 38 by claiming 4 for 34. Bowling exclusively from the River End and benefitting from a stiff breeze that aided swing bowling for most of the day, Trego continued Lancashire’s desperate form in the defence of their title.Trego bowled six successive maidens from the start of the day and it was 41 balls before Lancashire were even able to score a run off his bowling. Bowling wicket to wicket and allowing the conditions to do the work, he had already dismissed openers Paul Horton and Stephen Moore by the time Trescothick allowed him a rest shortly before lunch with figures of 10-7-12-2.By the time he returned for his second spell in the evening session – rain washed out most of the afternoon – he was required to break up a stubborn 79-run stand between Karl Brown and Ashwell Prince that threatened to turn the day in Lancashire’s favour. Brown had battled for over two hours for his 39 when he drove loosely at Trego off the front foot and lost his off-stump, which precipitated a late collapse of three wickets for 15 runs in only 34 balls.Steven Croft followed five overs later, edging Alfonso Thomas low to second slip to give Trescothick his second catch of the day, before Trego halted Prince’s defiance with the first ball of the next over when he was adjudged to have edged behind.Only four more overs were possible before rain curtailed play for the final time and Lancashire, whose batting unit have only passed 300 four times in the previous 11 completed Championship matches, look unlikely to improve on that dismal record. It should certainly be an interesting Championship debut for Andrea Agathangelou, a South-African born batsman with a Cypriot passport, who will resume tomorrow morning unbeaten on 0.Lancashire, as they have to be wavering just above the relegation zone, remain optimistic and Brown believes the swing generated by Trego should also help their own attack. “Trego got a bit of swing, and if that movement continues it will really help our bowlers because Glen Chapple and Kyle Hogg swing the ball more than most bowlers,” he said.”Hopefully we can make the most of the conditions as well. He tries to do different things when he’s bowling, he tries to get you out in different ways and he’s quite clever the way he goes about it. شركة “Apple TV”، أنتجت فيلمًا وثائقيًا لريال مدريد عن البطولة العاشرة، يوم الجمعة الماضي، سُلط من خلاله الضوء على لحظات استثنائية حُفرت بأحرف من ذهب في تاريخ ريال مدريد.

صحيفة “ماركا” الإسبانية، نشرت جزء عبر موقعها الرسمي، خلال ما حدث في مباراة دور الـ16 أمام باريس سان جيرمان، والتي وضعت حجر الأساس للبطولة بشكل عام.

بعد الهزيمة في ملعب بارك دي برانس 1/0، تأخر في الإياب بهدف مبابي أيضًا، قبل أن يسجل النادي الملكي ثلاثية يتأهل بها على حساب بطل فرنسا.

وشارك مصطفى محمد مع نانت هذا الموسم في 33 مباراة وسجل 8 أهداف وصنع 4 في مختلف المسابقات، بعد أن انضم للفريق الفرنسي قادمًا من جالطة سراي على سبيل الإعارة في الصيف الماضي، حتى يونيو المقبل.

ولم يسجل اللاعب المصري أي هدف خلال الـ4 مباريات الماضية لفريق نانت التي شارك فيها بالدوري الفرنسي، وكانت آخر أهدافه أمام مونبيليه، منذ شهر.

الزمالك خسر على ملعبه ووسط جماهيره بهدف دون رد أمام شباب بلوزداد، في الجولة الأولى من مواجهات المجموعة الرابعة للبطولة الإفريقية.

وقال ميدو خلال تصريحات لبرنامج “الريمونتادا” المذاع على قناة “المحور”: “مباراة الزمالك أمام شباب بلوزداد لقاء سيء وعدم نفاذ تذاكر مباراة سموحة والزمالك دليل قاطع أن جماهير الفارس الأبيض غاضبة وحزينة من عدم قتال لاعبي الفريق”.

وتابع: “لاعبو الزمالك إذا كان لديهم حجز ترفيهي لمدة ساعتين في استاد القاهرة، سيلعبون بروح أفضل من ذلك، هناك حالة غير طبيعية”.

وواصل: “الزمالك الفريق الوحيد الذي خسر على ملعبه في دوري أبطال إفريقيا، لا يوجد رد فعل من اللاعبين في المباريات”.

وأكمل: “لاعبو الزمالك جيدون ولديهم إمكانيات مميزة، ولكن أين الروح وأين توظيف الإمكانيات”.

وأتم: “أشجع نادي الزمالك منذ الصغر، ولكن عمري ما شاهدت الفريق بهذا السوء كما حدث في مباراة بلوزداد، (الزمالك عندما يستقبل هدف كأن القيامة بتقوم)”.
