Paulo Henrique Ganso cogita retornar ao Brasil em janeiro. O meia se reunirá nesta quarta-feira com a diretoria do Amiens (FRA), clube que defende desde agosto, para discutir a rescisão do contrato de empréstimo que vai até o meio de 2019. Ele tem vínculo com o Sevilla (ESP) até junho de 2021.

A reportagem do LANCE! ouviu que Flamengo, São Paulo e Grêmio são possíveis destinos do meia em caso de retorno ao país, mas nenhum dos clubes confirma o interesse até o momento. Uma nota oficial divulgada nesta terça-feira pelo Amiens informa que há ofertas do Brasil e da China pelo jogador de 29 anos.

“Uma reunião será realizada nesta quarta-feira com todas as partes envolvidas para discutir as várias opções, sabendo que o clube recebeu ofertas do Brasil e da China em relação ao seu jogador brasileiro. Uma posição final será tomada, após um período de reflexão, de acordo com o Sevilla FC”, diz a nota do Amiens.

São Paulo e Grêmio estão em busca de armadores para a próxima temporada. Já o Flamengo ainda vive um período de indefinições após a troca da diretoria. Rodolfo Landim foi eleito presidente no último sábado e escolheu Marcos Braz como homem forte do futebol e Abel Braga como treinador. O clube tem tratado a maioria das notícias sobre possíveis reforços como especulações.

Ganso está na Europa desde o meio de 2016, quando foi vendido pelo São Paulo ao Sevilla. Ele não conseguiu se firmar na Espanha e também está encontrando dificuldades na França, tanto que só participou de 13 partidas do Amiens e não marcou gols.

New Zealand lost the series 2-0 after West Indies earned a five-wicket victory in Jamaica and the result means the teams swap positions on the ICC Test rankings table, with West Indies moving to seventh and New Zealand falling to eighth.A major part of the problem for New Zealand was an absence of big scores from their batsmen. The opener Martin Guptill was the leading scorer from either side across the two Tests with 277 runs but no New Zealander managed a century, while Chris Gayle, Kieran Powell and Marlon Samuels all reached triple figures for West Indies.”It’s been around for a while,” Taylor said of the lack of centuries. “If you go through the last 15-odd years, guys have been scoring a lot of fifties but they haven’t been going on to score those hundreds and hundreds are what get you in Test matches and put you on the front foot and hopefully win them. But when you’re only getting fifties, sometimes it might be enough but more often than not it won’t be.”Taylor’s observation was sound, for in the past 15 years New Zealand batsmen have made 84 Test centuries, easily the fewest among the eight countries that played Test cricket throughout that period. The next lowest was West Indies, whose batsmen made 121 tons during the same time.In the past decade the figures are just as stark for New Zealand, whose batsmen have made fewer hundreds than Jacques Kallis and Rahul Dravid combined. Taylor said New Zealand’s inability to put together big partnerships and fight through important moments in the two Tests proved costly against West Indies, and they would need to improve ahead of their tour of India.”Obviously us batters are not performing as consistently as we would like and the bowlers were bowling well in periods but not the whole time,” he said. “Losing crucial wickets at crucial times in both Test matches have hurt us … We need to address our issues very quickly and we’ve got India coming up in just over a week and a half’s time, so we need to regroup quickly and play a lot better than we have here.”However, Taylor said there were some positives to come from the series, despite the result.”Martin Guptill was the highest run scorer in the Test series, between both teams,” Taylor said. “He didn’t get a hundred but his lowest score was 41. He struggled a bit during the T20s and one-dayers but showed what a quality player he can be and runs at the top of the order has been something we haven’t done as consistently as we would like. He was consistent.”The bowlers, [Trent] Boult with the new ball was very promising and something to work on. [Neil] Wagner, I think has given us something to think about, the energy that he brings to the team.”New Zealand have little time to regroup ahead of the India series, which begins with a Test in Hyderabad on August 23.

Dhoni has been fined 20% of his match fee, and the rest of his team 10%, after they were ruled to be an over short when time allowances were taken into consideration.Dhoni has got into trouble for over-rate breaches in the past. In January this year, he was suspended from the Adelaide Test against Australia due a slow over-rate in the previous Test in Perth. Dhoni had also been on notice after India were found short in Barbados in June-July last year. His woes, aside from the team’s poor form in Australia, didn’t end there. He was again suspended in February, this time for an ODI, after India fell short by two overs in a game against Australia in the CB series.The fine was imposed after a full disciplinary hearing with the match-referee Chris Broad.Following a groin injury to Nuwan Kulasekara – who was ruled out of the series after yesterday’s game – during the Indian innings, it was unclear for a while if he’d come out to bat during Sri Lanka’s chase. Sri Lanka lost their ninth wicket in the 49th over of the chase, and Kulasekara then walked in at No.11 – though part of the lower order, Kulasekara, when fit, batted much higher. Sri Lanka batted out the remainder of the innings with Lasith Malinga blasting 19 off 10 deliveries, 16 of them in the final over from Umesh Yadav.

Com os maus resultados na Série B, do Campeonato Brasileiro, o técnico Marcelo Chamusca não comandará mais a Ponte Preta para sequência da temproada. A decisão foi tomada em uma reunião da Diretoria Executiva da Ponte Preta que durou toda a tarde e parte da noite desta quarta-feira.

O treinador foi o único do Brasil a ter conquistado acessos em todas as divisões, veio para que a Ponte para tentar uma arrancada na competição, mas em cinco jogos comandando a equipe não conseguiu vencer – foram dois empates e três derrotas.

O presidente José Armando Abdalla Júnior afirmou que a Ponte ainda avalia o nome de um novo técnico e o preparador físico Caio Gilli irá comandar o treino desta quinta-feira.

– Trouxemos o Chamusca, que é um bom profissional, num momento em que precisávamos engrenar uma boa sequência. Infelizmente, não deu certo. Nosso foco agora é em fazer o time voltar a vencer para terminarmos bem a competição – diz o presidente José Armando Abdalla Júnior. A Ponte ainda avalia o nome de um novo técnico e o preparador físico Caio Gilli irá comandar o treino desta quinta-feira.

Quem chegar, será o quinto a dirigir a Ponte na temporada. Além de Chamusca e Brigatti, já passaram pela Macaca em 2018 Eduardo Baptista e também Doriva. É o ano com o maior número de trocas no comando na atual década.

O próximo compromisso da Ponte Preta será contra o CRB, no sábado, às 18h30, no Moisés Lucarelli. A equipe está na 11ª posição, com 37 pontos somados.

Focado neste duelo, o volante Claudinei espera triunfo dos visitantes no Sul do país em ‘confronto do ano’ para os dois lados:

– Essa partida é uma das mais importantes do ano para a nossa equipe, sem nenhuma dúvida. As duas equipes precisam da vitória para continuarem firmes nesta briga para se manter na Série B. Será uma batalha, mas estamos preparados. Temos que ter o máximo de atenção para sairmos de lá com um grande resultado.

Ainda segundo o atleta, as bolas paradas do Brasil precisam ser motivo de atenção para o Galo da Praia não ser surpreendido jogando no Bento Freitas, em Pelotas.
