There is no secret that the last few days have been difficult for the Red Devils, who ended the Premier League weekend in 14th place after a frustrating defeat to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Despite having their fair share of opportunities during the affair, including a missed Bruno Fernandes penalty, Manchester United failed to deliver, and Amorim is a man under growing pressure at Old Trafford.

Making contingency plans should their poor form continue, Gareth Southgate has been contacted by Sir Jim Ratcliffe over potentially succeeding the Portuguese boss, with Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola also on the Red Devils’ shortlist.

In a separate development, Graham Potter is also a candidate to take over at Manchester United after a dismal spell at West Ham United, albeit he has previously proven his Premier League credentials at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Sunderland visit Old Trafford this weekend, and put simply, Amorim is in desperate need of a victory. Anything less than three points would bring the Red Devils closer to the relegation zone, an unthinkable position following their summer spend of over £225 million.

Ultimately, the proof will be the pudding for the former Sporting boss over the next few weeks. There is an argument to say that consistent managers struggling to sustain success depict a wider problem, but his refusal to change tactically is a source of frustration for some.

Either way, Manchester United will continue to fight on all fronts, and they could now be about to step up the ante in their hunt for a midfielder come January.

According to Graeme Bailey in conversation with United in Focus, Manchester United could sign Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves for free in 2026 as they seek to bring in an experienced operator in the engine room. The Red Devils have been linked with Neves for nearly a decade, with controversial former chief executive Ed Woodward’s pursuit of the Portugal star dating all the way back to 2017.

The reporter stated: “Ruben Neves is a fascinating figure and a player Man United have long admired, even before he joined Wolves during his Porto days. Now 28, many feel he could be coming into his prime years, and he could be available for free in 2026. I am told from Al-Hilal sources that they are fighting hard to extend him beyond next year.”

The Spurs player worth more than Kudus

Despite his tender age, the Swede scored the winning goal in the Carabao Cup semi-final victory over league winners Liverpool – highlighting his nouse to perform on big occasions.

He ended up making 12 appearances in the Europa League, but missed the final due to injury, which would’ve been a bitter blow given his success during his debut campaign in England.

However, Bergvall, who’s been labelled “incredible” by Squawka Sport, has seen a sharp upturn in his market value over recent months, further highlighting his superb rise to stardom.

The youngster has now been valued at a staggering £50.3m by FootballTransfers, which has seen a phenomenal six times increase on the fee forked out for his signature last summer.

His subsequent valuation is higher than that of Kudus, who’s only valued at £40.4m by the same site despite his £55m transfer to the Lilywhites back in July.

At just 19, Bergvall has a huge future ahead of him, subsequently having the perfect opportunity to continue his tremendous rise in England under Frank in the years ahead.

If he can strike up an excellent partnership with Kudus in North London, the pair could play a crucial role in any future success – potentially making the side serial winners and cementing themselves as one of Europe’s elite.

ويسعى يوفنتوس إلى الخروج بنتيجة إيجابية أمام ريال مدريد في لقاء اليوم، وذلك في ظل سلسلة النتائج السلبية التي يعيشها الفريق مع المدرب إيجور تيودور.

ومن بين اللاعبين الذين رحلوا عن يوفنتوس خلال السنوات الماضية ومن ثم انتقلوا إلى ريال مدريد هو دين هويسن.

وقال تاكيناردي في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة “آس”: ”كان خطأ فادح بترك هويسن يرحل ولم ندركه إلا الآن، شاهدته يلعب مرات عديدة مع فريق يوفنتوس تحت 23 عامًا لأن منزلي يقع بجوار الملعب مباشرة”.

وأضاف: ”إمكاناته هائلة ويمكنه أن يكون قلب دفاع استثنائيًا، لكنه بحاجة إلى تحسين أدائه الدفاعي ليصل إلى هذا المستوى، كان من المؤسف رحيله”.

In November 2019, two Bangladesh players vomited on the field during an ODI, and four years later there were serious concerns ahead of the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka fixture in the 2023 ODI World Cup, with Bangladesh cancelling training sessions in the lead-up to the game because of air pollution.Ashok Sharma, the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association secretary, said they would take “take all measures possible to ensure players are comfortable when they play the Test match”.”Also, the Arun Jaitley Stadium is located in a relatively open area with more green area around. The Reds swooped in to sign the World Cup winner from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of £35m, which could rise to £55m in total, in what has turned out to be a bargain deal.

In that same summer, Chelsea spent £115m to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Arsenal splashed the cash to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United for £105m, which illustrates how expensive it can be to land top talent from other Premier League teams.

This shows how much of a bargain Liverpool got with their deal for Mac Allister because they did not have to pay over the odds for him, spending less than half as much as Chelsea and Arsenal did on their midfield signings with the initial fee of £35m.

It reveals that all three clubs are monitoring the 20-year-old forward, previously of Newcastle United, as a possible signing ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The outlet adds that the left-footed dynamo, who typically plays on the right flank, is valued at around £35m by Brighton, which is the same fee that Liverpool paid them for Mac Allister.

With this in mind, Minteh could arrive at Anfield this summer to bolster Slot’s squad in a deal that could be very similar to the one that brought the Argentine star to Merseyside.

Callum McGregor and Alistair Johnston ended the season on a disappointing note when they missed their spot kicks for Celtic in the final of the SFA Cup.

Aberdeen took them to penalties at Hampden Park, after a 1-1 draw in regulation time, and the two Hoops stars stepped up to miss from he spot, securing the trophy for the Dons.

This meant that the Bhoys failed to win the domestic treble for the second time in as many seasons since Brendan Rodgers returned to Parkhead, as they also won two of the three available trophies last term.

They did still win the Scottish Premiership and the League Cup, though, in what was a successful campaign for the club irrespective of what happened in the SFA Cup final.

In a season full of disappointments for Arsenal, perhaps the most underwhelming player in the squad has been Martin Odegaard.

It was around this time last year that the Norwegian maestro was awarded his second Player of the Year award in as many years, but this season, we don’t think he’s even cracked the top ten.

So far, the captain has amassed a lacklustre haul of just five goals and 11 assists in 43 first-team appearances, a significant step-down from the 11 goals and 12 assists he racked up in 48 games last year.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom, as recent reports suggest the club may now be looking to sign an international superstar who could get Odegaard back to his very best.

The former could be available for as little as £63m, and while that is a lot of money, it would still be a bargain for a striker who has scored 52 goals and provided 13 assists in 50 appearances this season.

Likewise, while the supposed £100m price tag for Rogers is certainly eye-watering, there is no denying that, with 14 goals and 14 assists to his name in 52 games this year, Aston Villa are justified in asking for that much.

However, there is now another game-changing international linked with the Gunners who could help revive Odegaard: Rodrygo.

Yes, according to reports from Spain, Arsenal have now entered the race for the Real Madrid star’s signature this summer.

Interestingly, while the report claims no official negotiations have begun, it does reveal that the Gunners have already made contact and held ‘preliminary’ talks to understand the player’s situation.

The good news is that the winger supposedly wants to experience a new challenge, but the bad news is that he may cost up to €100m, which is about £85m.

It would be a complicated and costly deal to get over the line, but given Rodrygo’s immense ability, it’s one worth fighting for, especially as he could help revive Odegaard.

How Rodrygo would revive Odegaard

So then, to get straight to the point, just how would Rodrygo help Odegaard get back to his best?

Well, while there are a few reasons, they all ultimately stem back to one thing: his output.

For example, in just 52 appearances last season, the “world-class superstar,” as dubbed by Luka Modrić, managed to score 18 goals and provide nine assists in just 52 appearances, totalling 3777 minutes, which came out to an average of a goal involvement every 1.92 games, or every 139.88 minutes.

Then, even though this season has been a rough one for Los Blancos, the £202k-per-week dynamo has managed to remain an effective outlet.

For example, in 50 appearances, totalling 3290 minutes, the “spectacular” international, as dubbed by manager Carlo Ancelotti, has scored 13 goals and provided ten assists, which comes out to an average of a goal involvement every 2.17 games, or every 143.04 minutes.

In contrast, Arteta’s current options on the left wing have been far less effective, with Leandro Trossard producing 19 goal involvements in 54 games, totalling 3340 minutes, and Gabriel Martinelli managing 16 goal involvements in 49 appearances, totalling 3403 minutes.

Now, just imagine how many more assists or even goals Odegaard would be able to rack up with a far more effective winger on the left instead of having to rely on Bukayo Saka for most of the scoring and creating in the final third.

Moreover, on top of finishing his chances more often, the Real star would force opposition defenders to focus more of their energy on locking down the left flank as well, in turn opening up more space for the Norwegian to operate in.

Ultimately, from his output to the effect his presence would have on opposition teams, it’s clear that Rodrygo could help Odegaard get back to something like his best next season, and therefore, Arsenal should do all they can to sign him up this summer.
